Between preschool, Play-and-Learn, and our own crafts, the boys made tons of holiday decorations. Here they are painting their wooden bats.
Braden transitioned into his "Big Boy" room this month. I had to take a picture of his last night in the crib... 
Per request, I made Braden a birthday cake with a train, tunnel and a horsey.
We had a small party at Chuck E. Cheese with family to celebrate. Braden had only been there once before but referred to it as "the real playground" and talked about it often. He was sooo happy to be there again. Every time he saw his cake, it was like the first time - SO excited!
His favorite ride? The horse, of course!
We were lucky that it was not busy at all when we were there. The kids ran from ride to ride!

One of our major projects was converting the old guest bedroom into Braden's new room. For the longest time, we thought that we would have the boys share a room. After more consideration to bedtime logistics (among other things) we decided to have them each in their separate rooms for now. 
Here is Ryan on his first night in the queen bed. He is so small and the bed is so big that I really have to look for him sometimes - especially in the dark! He is the red spot! :-)
The boys were delighted to go back to the pumpkin patch for a weekday evening with friends. After experiencing the less crowded and cheaper version, I don't know if we'll go back on a weekend again!

Ryan's class dressed up on Thursday for their Halloween party, program, and parade. I've never seen a happier pirate! ARRRR!
Braden wanted to hop in for a picture and I was lucky enough to have two boys looking in the same direction - much less smiling!
Ryan's preschool class singing their songs...and this year we could hear them loud and strong!
Spiderman didn't know what to think about the Halloween parade at school...
That night we celebrated Braden's actual birthday and let him choose the restaurant for dinner. Braden chose The Green Turtle - and there was no convincing him otherwise! I think the boys both like the restaurant because each table has an individual TV and since it is a bar, the kids like to dance to the loud music. Ironically, the bar atmosphere seems to be better for everyone since if the kids talk too loud, no one can really hear them!
One of the best parts about being a parent is picking out toys you know your kids will just LOVE...and them watching them enjoy it! Tony and I did a good job this time. Braden has been checking out his new barn and horses for days!
On the day Braden turned two, I tried to get a picture of him in the same spot where I took Ryan's two-year-old bday picture. Of course, Braden insisted on sticking out his tongue and holding a pumpkin....

On Halloween night, we went to the parade downtown. It was a bit chilly but the kids had tons of fun.
Again, my happy pirate!! Waiting so patiently.....he knew that tons of candy was on the way!!!
We finished up the night (and the month) with trick-or-treating in our own neighborhood.

As part of the transition, we moved the old guest bed (a queen) into Ryan's room so that when company comes, they can still have a place to sleep. We moved Ryan's twin bed into the guest room (Braden's new room) and then only had to buy a dresser and toy shelves. For those of you that have stayed at the Solis Hotel, you know that room can get very hot so Tony installed an overhead light/fan into the room, as well.
